That’s why, as part of our services, TPCN providers offer referrals to trusted state programs that support your health, safety, and well-being — before, during, and after pregnancy.

Are You Healthy?

Taking care of your health is one of the best ways you can care for your family. If you’re worried about medical care, food, transportation, or finances, you might qualify for programs like these:

  • Medicaid
    Health coverage for qualifying women, pregnant women, and families. Medicaid helps pay for doctor visits, hospital care, and services that keep you and your baby healthy.

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
    SNAP helps you buy groceries to keep your family nourished and fed. It’s there to make sure you and your children have the healthy food you need, when you need it.

  • Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
    Low-cost health insurance for your children from birth through age 18. CHIP covers doctor visits, dental care, medicines, and more to help your child grow healthy and strong.

  • Healthy Texas Women (HTW)
    Free women’s health services like exams, screenings, and family planning support. HTW helps you stay healthy before, during, and after pregnancy.

  • Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)
    A personal nurse will walk alongside you during pregnancy and through your child’s second birthday. Your nurse will offer support, advice, and encouragement at every step. Available for first-time mothers only.

  • Primary Health Care (PHC)
    Access preventive and primary care services to stay on top of your health. PHC helps with checkups, screenings, and basic care for women across Texas.

  • Title V: Maternal and Child Health Fee-for-Service Program
    Helps pregnant women, newborns, and young children get critical medical services. Title V focuses on reducing health risks and building stronger futures for Texas families.

  • Medical Transportation Program (MTP)
    Provides rides to medical appointments for eligible clients. If getting to your appointments is a challenge, MTP is here to make sure you can get to the care you need.

  • Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC)
    Offers nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and healthy food benefits for moms, babies, and young children. WIC is here to keep your growing family strong and thriving.

    Provides short-term financial help and support services for families with children. TANF offers a stepping stone to greater independence and stability.

  • Office of the Attorney General
    You don’t have to put yourself in harm’s way to get child support. The OAG can help you set up, enforce, or modify child support safely — without dealing directly with the other parent.

    Provides shelter, crisis counseling, safety planning, and legal advocacy for anyone facing domestic violence. If you need a safe place or someone to talk to, help is here for you.
